The title of the Bord na Móna Photography competition is “Heartland”. The theme is open to your personal interpretation but we’re looking for beautiful photographs of the heartlands of Ireland. These pictures can be anything from close ups to wide landscapes, trains or tourists, blossoms, birds or bogcotton, man, woman or machine– it is entirely up to you -as long as the photos demonstrate some association with our love of the Irish heartlands. The twelve photos selected by our panel of judges will appear in the Bord na Móna 2017 Calendar. An overall winner will also be chosen. The overall winner will receive a prize (€250) and their photo will appear on the calendar cover. The closing date for entries is Friday 22nd October, 2016. Entries should be preferably landscape in orientation and emailed to calendar@bnm.ie. Queries to: Pat Sammon 086 1987299
