The Club returns for 2017 on Monday night January 9th at 7:30pm in the Oakwood Hotel, where we will be meeting in the Conservatory. Go left through the bar to get to that room. We will be in The Hughes Room on all other nights up to Easter.

Rikki O’Neill Tour

Rikki O’Neill, renowned photographer and artist will be appearing at 3 venues in the south of Ireland in December. Venue details below. Rikki is a digital artist, illustrator and photographer with many years of experience. His works can be seen in numerous children’s books and in art galleries around the country. Rikki is also an award-winning photographer, nationally and internationally. He has combined his artistic and photographic skills for more than 35 years to produce monochrome and colour prints and now embraces working digitally enjoying the creative freedom that it provides. Rikki is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), a Master of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB), a fellow in the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) and is on the Roll of Honour of the Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF).

Bord na Mona Calendar Competition

Send us your photos for the 2017 Calendar Send us your favourite photographs so we can feature them in the Bord na Móna 2017 Calendar. The title of the Bord na Móna Photography competition is “Heartland”. The theme is open to your personal interpretation but we’re looking for beautiful photographs of the heartlands of Ireland. These pictures can be anything from close ups to wide landscapes, trains or tourists, blossoms, birds or bogcotton, man, woman or machine– it is entirely up to you -as long as the photos demonstrate some association with our love of the Irish heartlands. The twelve photos selected by our panel of judges will appear in the Bord na Móna 2017 Calendar. An overall winner will also be chosen. The overall winner will receive a prize (€250) and their photo will appear on the calendar cover. The closing date for entries is Friday 22nd October, 2016.
